[back]TGA format tiling game textures

Listed below are the current custom texture assets available from Quake3Bits. Primarily in TGA for they can be used in any game that support the format, or with conversion in a photo editing package into any format required.

Unless otherwise stated, most of the textures below are for use with games that make use of 'lightmap' based lighting technology - Quake 3, Return to Castle Wolfenstein et-al; although they can be used in nextGen titles (Doom 3 for example) they're not technically set up correctly for games that make use of bumpmapping and dynamic lighting, future releases will take this into account possible with support for both static and dynamic based lighting.

    Separate download of the lava texture assets and material file as used in Kat's Basket - katq4dm2 - a Quake 4 DM map. Includes both the TGA and DDS versions of the images. Also with model notes.

Stonewall textures ^
  • Ground 1024
    3 TGA format 'terrain' textures of 'generic' ground surfaces to cover larger areas than 512x512 textures. Can be used in any game supporting the *.tga image format.

  • Stonewall
    Misc stonewall textures of 'the olde worlde' type (not the usual 'big block' stonework of Quake 3). Has a sense of 'realism' so can be used for any game that supports the TGA image format.

  • Brick
    Flat brick textures, tileable.

Rock textures ^
  • Rock 6
    Assorted rock textures based on the same theme of weathered and worn granite / lime stone. All files are 512x512 *.tga uncompressed images. ZIP archive only to allow non 'PK3' Quake 3 based engines use of assets.

  • Rock 5
    Assorted rock textures, also includeds 'snow' textures. Alphamasked where indicated.

  • Rock 4 (Map Center 'rock' set)
    'Local' download version of the textures submitted to the MapCenter 'rock' texture challange from a couple of months ago. Part of these texture include work by eskimo roll.

  • Rock 2
    Flat rock textures, tileable.

  • Rock 3a
    Several versions/variations of the same 'base' texture. Textures are all 512x512 in *.TGA format.

  • Rock 3b
    Several versions/variations of the same 'base' texture. Textures are all 512x512 in *.TGA format.

  • Rock 3c
    Several versions/variations of the same 'base' texture. textures are all 512x512 in *.TGA format.

  • Flat rock pak1
    Misc. flat rock textures, tileable.

  • Flat rock pak2a
    Misc. flat rock textures : tileable, from top left - 256x256.

  • Flat rock pak2b
    Misc. flat rock textures : tileable.

  • Flat rock pak3
    Misc flat rock textures : tileable.

  • Rough rock pak1
    Misc. rough rock textures : tileable.

  • Rough rock pak2
    Misc. rough rock textures : tileable.

  • Rough rock pak3
    Misc. rough rock textures : tileable.
